![]() At Women of Denver, we know that success lies in remaining true to yourself and your true nature throughout the turmoil of life, both personally and professionally. A true balance between self and the outside world is imperative to stay centered and focused on your goals and dreams, and the steps that it takes to achieve them. No one is more familiar with living and leading an uninhibited life of this style than Susan Golicic, a life coach at Uninhibited Wellness. Susan has mentored and coached several women - and men - to find their authentic energy in life so as to live uninhibitedly and achieve their goals without the constraints of traditional expectations. Here, Susan shares the motivations behind aspiring to live an uninhibited life, as well as coaching others in the same way of life. What do people often thank you for? People often thank me for supporting them. Whether it is actually doing something for someone, lending a hand, or being there with them during a tough time and listening to them process their emotions, I really feel drawn to helping people - from friends and strangers - go through their lives and get closer to their dreams. What's been inspiring you lately? Witnessing stories of people living uninhibitedly inspires me. We have all been conditioned to live a certain way based on how those that influenced us were raised to believe what was right. This is often inhibiting to our authentic nature and the way we really want to live our lives. I love it when people stretch the boundaries of their comfort zone and the "box" in which they feel they were placed and live the way that feels right for them. What do you love most about Women of Denver? I love the energy and connection within this tribe of women (and some courageous men too). I have been honored to meet several amazing and inspiring women and attend outstanding events. Through these experiences, I have grown so much - both personally and professionally. Women of Denver events and connections are now an important part of my regular personal development! What unique impact do you make on the world through your work? The work I do through Uninhibited Wellness motivates our clients to reach for their dreams and live uninhibitedly in their authenticity. I believe that when people are unencumbered by expectations and what they "should" do, they are happier and feel freer. Our clients are happier and find their true purpose in life in this space. Living in this way brings more love and peace into this world! Tell us about a recent accomplishment you're proud of? I am really proud of the presentation I gave as a panelist for the December 2017 Women of Denver Quarterly event. I love sharing how to live uninhibitedly with as many people as I can, and this event gave me the opportunity to reach so many beautiful women with this message. It allowed me to demonstrate how to face your fears and get support from others when I led the group in singing "Don't Stop Believin'". The participation and reactions from those at the event and afterward made my heart soar! What actions do you take to support and empower other women? I try to mentor a lot of young women in my role as a professor in a male-dominated field at CSU. This is what drove me to become a coach in the first place! I frequently attend presentations and events by and for women. I want to show support by being present and providing feedback on what I learned from the women there. I also share my stories, experiences and knowledge with other women, even if they are in the same field as I am. I believe we all move forward and grow when we connect and share of ourselves, and this is especially important for women in our society. What else would you like our readers to know about you? I have worked in male-dominated fields/jobs most of life, and I played the "masculine" game for many years. It brought me a tremendous amount of stress and unhappiness, and I ultimately lost who I was. I truly believe women are their most powerful and influential when they are true to their authentic energy. Mine happens to be feminine, and I have found so much more joy on this roller coaster of life by living that truth!
