It's our pleasure to introduce WOD Impact Member Deanna Duell, a powerhouse Denver leader whose notable accomplishments include the Denver Business Journal's 2015 Top Women in Energy and Who's Who in Energy.

Deanna is Managing Consultant for Hein & Associations, LLC; ranked one of the nation's top accounting firms by Accounting Today.

What do people often thank you for?
Clients often thank me for being responsive to their questions and taking needed actions to resolve their concerns. Friends often thank me for my support in lending an ear to their issues and helping them talk things out. Family often thanks me for being thoughtful and transparent.

What's been inspiring you lately?
The WOD group and its members, presenters, and associates have peaked my imagination and inspire me to try new things and expand my circle of influence and friends. Nature, both pictures posted by friends and family, as well as being in the midst of it, inspires me to recognize the vast world we live in and approach life with awe and fortitude.

What do you love most about WOD?
I love the inspiring presenters, members, and events. I find it to be a place where women support each other and learn something new and achievable along the way. It is a journey of growth through action and facilitation.

Tell us about a recent accomplishment you're proud of
Overcoming economic uncertainty by remaining true to our cause and connecting with those who are able to benefit from our services. This year promised to be one of the most challenging years for my service line due to the economic downturn in the industry I deal with the most, which is oil and gas.

With slumping prices, and mass layoffs, I struggled with identifying our income stream and sustainability in this current slump. I continued to persist in responding to leads presented by our partners, as well as meeting with new prospects to facilitate identifying our ability to help them solve their issues, and ultimately the persistence paid off.

This year is proving to be one of the best years for the service line. As a result, we are poised to take what we learned and apply it to future prospects and opportunities in order to set them up success and develop continuity in services and recovery efforts for our clients.

What else would you like us to share about you?
I have dealt with a lot of challenges both professionally and personally in the last year. The common denominator is the drive to live for today and the constant reminder that I am not in charge, putting my faith in a higher power and watching it work in my life. I continue to develop my relationship with God and find that, in doing so, things work out in ways I wouldn't script or even consider. I am truly blessed to have this relationship and continue to nurture it and work towards God's will in my life.
