At times we struggle to see ourselves fully as individuals and leaders, but transformation can often come at the moments we least expect.

Allison Johanson is a licensed clinical social worker, who's story of fully accepting her growth and development as a business owner is an inspiration to other women who strive to see themselves as the leader they want to be or feel the tug of imposter syndrome telling them they aren't quite enough.

Allison is a leader to her clients and friends, creating the space for their own personal transformation, and the ability to find balance in a world that can sometimes feel more chaotic than comforting.

What do people thank you for?

People often thank me for creating a safe, nurturing environment where they can gain calmness in a life that feels chaotic. As women, we often juggle many different roles at once and at some points in our lives it may feel like all the balls drop at once. I provide a space to clear the mind and give a foundation so that we can juggle comfortably and feel balanced. People thank me for working with them to build this foundation so that they can be their best self at work, at home, internally, and with all the important roles in their lives.

What has inspired you lately?

All of the women I have connected with who have challenged themselves to make a leap into entrepreneurship. I love hearing stories of other women setting fear aside and taking risks in order to feel more whole as a person. I love hearing stories of people who follow their heart, even if it's scary, and have found their definition of success on the other end. We are powerful people and it's so great to remember that, through others success stories.

What do you love most about WOD?

I believe that sometimes passion feels draining when alone and with community comes power. I love that there is a space where women with similar missions and goals can come together, learn from each other and support each other.

Tell us about a recent accomplishment you're proud of

In July I left on Maternity leave feeling terrified about what my business will look like when I come back after 3 months. In October I came back to a new office space, and a new energy. Before that time I struggled to call myself a business owner, now, that's how I define myself. With that emotional shift, I have become more financially and emotionally successful as a business owner. I cherish the clients that I see and feel pride in what I do. I am very proud that I was able to use the space of fear as a space of growth. Let me tell you, it has really paid off. I love my business, my clients, and my career.

What else would you like us to share about you?

The value I most strongly connect with is personal growth. I love to learn from others and challenge myself in as many ways as possible. I love what I do because I am constantly learning new things. Not only do I have the space to learn, but I also have the space to share what I learn with people so that they can grow and be successful in their lives.
