Women of Denver is revolutionizing local television by showcasing female entrepreneurs, trailblazers and business leaders on a weekly talk show.

Inside the Women of Denver, which airs Wednesdays at 6pm on Comcast channel 57 features women’s stories of successes, failures and lessons learned on the journey to success. The purpose of the show is to offer guidance to women seeking growth in their careers and to showcase the women being featured as experts in their field.

The show officially launched in December 2015 with closed events that only Women of Denver members were invited to attend. “We’re a closed group, so most of what we do requires membership to be a part of” said Krystal Covington, the group’s founder. “After our last two events I started to realize the deep connections and excitement that our audience was experiencing. After the amazing responses we got I realized it was time to share this experience with others.”

Topics on the show range from leadership and business development to conversations about authenticity, personal transformation and spiritual lessons. “Each interview explores an authentic journey and not a single one is the same. What’s special is that no matter whose story we’re listening to in the end we always leave with the same understanding — there’s a universal truth and we just experienced it as a community,” Krystal said.

The next live show recording will take place on Tuesday, June 7 at 6pm. Show tickets are available for purchase on eventbrite.

The show is a part of the programming for Women of Denver, an organization that seeks to give women a platform to build a reputation as a credible expert in their field of business, so they can earn more opportunities to make an impact using their skills and ultimately increase their income. With women still earning significantly less than their male counterparts in the labor force, programs such as these are increasingly relevant and popular among women seeking ways to take ownership of their income earning potential and find new ways to get paid their true value in the marketplace.

According to Covington, “I strongly believe that as more women learn to articulate, demonstrate, and ultimately demand to be compensated for the value they offer the world we will reach economic parity.” She went on to say “There are definitely factors we can’t control when it comes to economics, but by focusing on what we can do for ourselves we can feel so much more empowered and get further than ever before.”
