What do people often thank you for?
People often thank me for boosting their confidence and motivation. In particular, for listening and providing a safe space for them to talk things through to get the guidance they truly need to improve their health. One of my clients specifically said, "I am so grateful to Ashley for teaching me a skill that I can't unlearn: how to take the best care of myself and be unapologetic about it. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for this gift!"
What's been inspiring you lately?
My dreams. I attended a fantastic dream workshop recently and it taught me how to interpret my dreams as a guide for where I'm being led in my business and life. I've always loved sleeping, but now I'm even more excited to head to bed and dream the night away. I continually ask to receive guidance this way. It's fun to wake up and take action, and fascinating to see how quickly and easily things move along.
What do you love most about WOD?
The women it attracts! I also love that as a member you have various opportunities to interact with women members and non-members, it's collaborative, smart and fresh!
Tell us about a recent accomplishment you're proud of
I'm very proud of myself and the Bitch Slap Of Truth team for planning, preparing and executing our first ever event in Denver on November 3rd. Not only was the event fun and well attended, it was a game changer for the audience. After the event we received many messages about how the night felt like the start of a movement that our nation needs. People were touched by the truths shared by each speaker. It was also great hearing that my slap - Screw The Diet. Feed Your Inner Athlete - helped upgrade some long held beliefs about diet and exercise. I was told by one person, "I have never heard someone talk about health of the body the way you did, and you connected new powerful dots in my mind in a way that will REALLY make a difference for me and I'm sure many other women." Its given me a greater appreciation and perspective on sharing my message.
What else would you like us to share about you?
I'd play all day if I could, and often times, I do. This life is one big game worth playing.
